Love this place. Had to go here to get my mum supplies to take back with me to SA for her and they are super helpful and amazing products

Very small portion for the high price. You can get lot out there for that price. Not worth it. Taste is alright. Not hygienic! Do not recommend.

Food is good but the old lady and her son doesn't know how to serve rice or any other curry enough for a normal human being. $13.50 Such a rip off. Staff is lethargic and looks like they have been drugged. Waiting que is long due to that and the price tags are often misleading.

Was great for the Harry Potter experience, and is cozy with quirky decor. But there is usually a very long wait for seating, the staff are quite unpleasant, and the breakfast food is microwaved and very overpriced. I would suggest coming very early to avoid crowds and get a seat in the back, and stick to coffee or tea to just soak up the atmosphere.

A must visit place for die hard Harry Potter fans. The cafe is only a few minutes walk from Edinburgh Castle. The ambience and service is excellent. The food is pretty decent. There's not much of a wait time. Don't forget to visit the toilet for all the fan scribbling on the walls.

My husband and I were looking for a bookish way to spend our last day in Edinburgh before heading back to London. This was on my radar, but we actually happened upon it on our way to another shop, quite by accident. The cafe front called to us and it clicked “Oh, this is on my list!” So we wondered in and looked around. It did take a few minutes before our queue, but it was expected. With a few people ahead of us; we were in no rush. The waitress greeted us when we queued up and warmly gave us regards to the menu, giving us ample warning of the wait(which was only around 5-10 minutes). We used the time to look over the menu. When we were seated, it was cozy and I have to say, I did enjoy the elephant decor( I am a bit quirky ). The haggis, nips, and mash was good, but my absolute favorite was the Japanese cherry green tea. We were in no rush, I had time to work on my writing and my husband was able to catch up with some photo editing. The ambience was a wonderful space just to sit back and let the mind wander off a bit. Although it took some time, it worked out just perfect for us, the timing was perfect for our pace. This is a place to sit and enjoy, and enjoy we did. Those looking to cram this into a busy schedule may want to rethink how one should absorb the local flavor. If we had gone off the reviews of those complaining about the wait times, we would have missed out on a pleasant experience.

The staff were really nice, and the place has really lovely views of the castle. It could've just been a one-off, but the breakfast that I had (the Elephant House breakfast) just wasn't that good unfortunately. The food, to be honest, tasted microwaved. The place has a nice setting though, and we still had a pleasant time.

I found it amazingly fine, the place, the atmosphere and the attitude from the people who did their job well were excellent. One thing that made me disappointed just a little bit is the quality of the coffee they serve. I expected them to have a great quality of coffee given the fact that they have a huge revenue because of Harry Potter fans who really promote the place by coming over. The coffee was close to be a mediocre one, I don’t expect perfect things from anywhere, but I had high hopes for this place. Nevertheless, I still liked it and will definitely come back many times to come.
